BIOENGINEER & SCIENCE MEDIA PRODUCER
ABOUT

I’m Elizabeth, a second-year Ph.D. student in Biological Engineering at MIT. I work in the lab of Professor Forest White, where I use mass spectrometry, proteomics, and systems biology to understand how cell signaling affects biological processes like immune function and resistance to cancer treatment.

Before grad school, I spent several years in science media and communication strategy. I developed the creative media strategy for MIT Undergraduate Admissions and researched communities of online learning for the MIT Media Lab's Learning Initiative. I developed program strategy, original web series development, teaching, and outreach programs for the MIT+K12 Videos Program at MIT Open Learning.

I'm interested in the intersection between biotechnology and public engagement, movies related to outer space, hand lettering. Get in touch if you'd like to discuss any of the above!
